HoneyMe started with a promise, not a business plan. Our founder Anna's mother has run her own bakery back home for more than twenty years — a whole life spent behind the counter, feeding a neighborhood one loaf and one cake at a time. HoneyMe exists to carry that love forward, and to finally bring the flavors of home out into the open for everyone to taste.
Anna graduated from the University of Washington, and the expected next step — like so many of her classmates — was a straight line into one of Seattle's big tech companies. She didn't take it. Instead, she chose a path with no guaranteed outcome: teaching herself cake decorating and piping from scratch, one practice cake at a time, long before HoneyMe ever had a storefront. By the time she opened the doors, she had already been baking and decorating every birthday cake for the friends and family around her — not as a job, just as how she showed up for the people she loved.

That's still what we're doing today: her mother's decades of recipes and technique, and Anna's own hand for design and detail, baked into the same box. Every salt bread, custom cake, and mooncake that leaves our Bellevue kitchen carries a little of both.
